Whispering Sweet Nothings

I consider myself an optimist.  There’s simply no reason, IMHO, to dwell on the negative. So today I tried to focus on my accomplishment of installing two new light fixtures in the garage successfully.  Old, non-functioning fixtures removed and in the car to take to the recycler, new fixtures in and working.   Yes – let there be light!

I WON’T focus on the total failure of my new toy, a ridiculously expensive DeWalt TrackSaw that was sure to solve all my home improvement sawing problems.  Because it DIED after about 10 cuts and the DeWalt people said they could get me another one…in a few weeks. After digging in the recycling to get all the original packaging, printing my return labels from Amazon (good grief I love Amazon Prime shipping) and spending a gross amount of time taping it all back together, I drove it to UPS and said goodbye and good riddance.  Ugh.  I think I’ll stick with my trusty Craftsman circular saw and call it good enough.

Back to the positive…

I took a break from the re-packaging nightmare, grabbed my camera and headed out to the barnyard to see what was going on.  Jessie and Brandy were… like two young lovers with nothing better to do. (Thank you, Steve Miller Band!)

I loved watching this. It made my heart go pitter-patter.  They like each other!  They really like each other!
