It’s a small celebration at Happy Mama Acre this year, and we’re not complaining. Close family and our best friends, plus a few friends planning to drop by for a cocktail…or two.
With less hustle and bustle to the day, it give us a bit more time to be grateful and reflect on the wonderfulness of barnyard life.
We are grateful for good times.
We are grateful for good friends.
We are grateful for someone waiting for us when we get home.
We are grateful for full tummies.
We are grateful for the roof over our heads.
We are grateful for a snuggle at the end of a long day.
So from our family—furry and feathered, two-legged and four—we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
(Shared at Little House Friday, Old-Fashioned Friday, From the Farm, Simple Lives Thursday, HomeAcre Hop, Tuesdays With A Twist, Clever Chicks, Homestead Barn Hop and Thank Goodness It’s Monday)
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe but having many American friends, I’ve learned to use the day to take time to reflect on all the good things in life – even though life might seem very hard at times. Hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, Joan, and thank you, for your wonderful writing and for sharing your barnyard with us.
