In an attempt not to drown in photos, I’ve been trying to make sense of my iPhoto library. I’ve divided it in two, so now I have a library full of photos of humans and one full of photos of animals. The animal library is twice as big as the human one. I think that’s because digital cameras weren’t invented when the kids were young. I may be kidding myself.
In sifting through the thousands of photos I was struck how every time I looked at one of Doink, I smiled. Even the bad ones. So although I’m not a fan of top ten lists, I couldn’t help myself. Here goes…Ten Reasons I Love Doink!
10. He shares with others.
9. He is curious.
8. He’s secure in his masculinity.
7. If he’s having a bad day, he knows how to take care of himself.
6. He’s not afraid of being silly sometimes.
5. He knows a relaxed pig is a healthy pig.
4. He has the best tail in the world.
3. He has a way with straw.
2. He is a good friend.
1. He’s smart, he’s sweet, he’s kind-hearted…and he’s mine.
Hope Doink brought a smile to YOUR day, too!

Doink often brings a smile to my day! I love to visit him when we are out with the dogs. What a guy! 🙂

He loves it when visitors stop by—you guys make his day!
I love that pig, Doink, too! I’d like to see him bury himself in hay!
It is hilarious, and a daily occurrence!
Big, big smile all the way from Maine! My favorite picture is the one where he’s napping. I’m curious, tho, how is it he does not dig up your yard?
He snuffles around a bit, but it’s not too bad. He dug up a wallow hole I dump water into when it’s hot. (Smart pig!) He mostly eats the grass 🙂

I love, love, love Doink! He is such a lesson to us all – so content in his own skin. 🙂 I always look forward to his stories and he always, every time, brings a smile to my face. He should have his own Facebook page! Give him a pat from me (if he likes a pat, that is) – if I lived closer I would love to give him one myself.
Thank you (and Doink) for starting my day with a smile. 🙂

Doink is such a great pig. I love how he is friends with the chickens as well as Brandy. How could you not smile at Doink’s antics.

He is just so cute and I love the way he is around the other animals and chickens. We have heaps of pigs at the moment and they have a character all of their own. If you would like I would love you to share this at Good Morning Mondays at Darling Downs Diaries. Blessings

I’ve just started researching pigs and it seems like they are so docile and friendly! I’ve even heard that they’re as sweet and smart as dogs. Thanks for sharing!
