Eggs, Beautiful Eggs

Every time I look at this I feel happy!

I’m working on some ideas for artwork that uses eggshells. More on that in the future.

For now, this is my current favorite egg photo.

Love the dark eggs…we have been looking for dark egg chickens…could you tell me what kind they are?

  They are Black Copper Marans. The eggs are beautiful, aren’t they? However, mine are not great layers. I have three BCM hens, but only get one of their eggs maybe every other day.

    O.k. thanks for the info…since there are just two egg eaters now in our family, maybe 5 hens would do the job. Did you get the BCM’s from a special place?

      I’ve gotten all my chicks from mypetchicken.com. Three years, three shipments. All have been perfect! I highly recommend them 🙂 I just ordered olive eggers for a June delivery – very excited!
